United States visa requirements for Philippine passport holders

What travelers need for United States: the document checklist, when to start, and how fees are handled — followed by the questions travelers ask most.

How this page stays honest: visa programs change, so every allowance and rule here is one we re-verify with you at booking — before you pay for anything. Last reviewed September 16, 2026.

What to prepare

  • A B1/B2 visitor visa — there is no ESTA or visa waiver for Philippine passports.
  • US applications are individual by design: your own online form, your own appointment profile, and your personal appearance at both appointments.
  • Almost everyone attends an in-person interview (since October 2025 this includes children and seniors). The exception: renewing a B1/B2 that expired within the last 12 months, issued when you were 18 or older, with a clean record — that renews by document drop-off without an interview.
  • We prepare you completely — documents, form walkthrough, interview coaching — and track the appointment system with you.

When to start

Appointment availability is currently under half a month in Manila but moves month to month. Budget one to three months all-in (planning guideline, not an official figure).

Visa FAQ

Visa questions for United States

Do I need a visa for the United States?

Yes — a B1/B2 visitor visa. There is no ESTA or visa waiver for Philippine passports.

Can you file it for me?

No — US applications are individual by design: your own online form, your own appointment profile, and your personal appearance at both appointments. What we do is prepare you completely (documents, form walkthrough, interview coaching) and track the appointment system with you.

Will I need an interview?

Almost always now. Since October 2025 US rules require in-person interviews for everyone, including children and seniors. The exception: renewing a B1/B2 that expired within the last 12 months, issued when you were 18 or older, with a clean record — that renews by document drop-off without an interview.

How long is the visa valid?

Up to ten years, multiple entry, for Philippine applicants under the US reciprocity schedule. How long you stay per trip is decided by immigration at entry, not by the visa.

Passport validity?

Good news here: the Philippines is on the US "Six-Month Club" list, so your passport only needs to be valid for your intended stay. Our six-month standard remains the safe default for everything else in your travel plans.

Timing?

Appointment availability is currently under half a month in Manila but moves month to month. Budget one to three months all-in (planning guideline, not an official figure).

Are these visa requirements for Philippine passport holders?

Yes. Everything on this page applies to Philippine passport holders. Traveling on a different passport? Message us and we'll confirm exactly what applies to you.

Do you handle the visa for me?

It depends on the destination — each destination lists who files what. Either way our team walks every traveler through it, and we confirm the current visa fees and requirements with you at booking, when they're live rather than quoted from an old page.

How long should my passport be valid?

At least six months beyond your return date, with at least two blank pages. That is the safe standard for Filipino travelers on every destination we sell, even where the destination itself asks for less.

What does immigration ask for at arrival?

Your return ticket (covered by the package airfare) and your hotel confirmation (covered by our bookings). Some destinations add a digital arrival card or proof of funds — the per-destination sections cover each one.
