FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Short answers to the questions we hear most, grouped by theme.Anything not covered, the team answers personally once you inquire.

Trips & departures

How our scheduled journeys run, who travels on them, and where you sleep.

Are flights included?

It depends on the trip. Some packages are land-only so you can arrange your own flights or use miles, while others include or quote flights as part of the journey.

Each package states its basis, and your quotation will clearly show whether flights are included or excluded. Baggage, seat selection, meals, travel tax and other airline-related charges may vary by trip and will be identified where applicable.

Are trips escorted?

Every scheduled journey includes local guiding at the destination.

Whether a Filipino tour coordinator or escort travels with the group depends on the departure and destination. Coordinators may be from Worldmaster or from partner teams we work with directly, and your quotation states exactly what support your trip includes.

For private journeys, the level of support is agreed during planning and can range from a fully escorted trip to local or on-call assistance.

Can I join a scheduled departure on my own?

Yes. Solo travelers are welcome.

A single-room supplement normally applies. On some departures, roommate matching may be available, but this depends on the trip and cannot always be guaranteed. Your rooming arrangement and any supplement will be confirmed before you book.

What happens if a scheduled departure does not reach the minimum group size?

Some scheduled departures require a minimum number of travelers to operate.

If a departure does not reach its required number, we will contact you with the available options. Depending on the circumstances, these may include moving to another departure date, placing eligible amounts into a travel fund, a refund where applicable, or arranging the journey privately at a revised price.

The exact option will depend on the trip, supplier commitments and your booking terms.

What kind of hotels and rooms do you use?

Most of our standard journeys use four- or five-star accommodation unless the trip is specifically designed around a different budget or travel style.

Common room arrangements include single, twin, double and triple rooms. Family or connecting rooms can be requested, but their availability is limited and generally cannot be guaranteed.

Exact hotels and room arrangements are confirmed as part of your trip documentation.

Are children and infants welcome?

Yes. Children and infants can travel on many of our scheduled and private journeys.

Their pricing is quotation-based and depends on factors such as age, airfare, room arrangements, beds, meals and supplier policies. Any applicable child or infant rate will be shown in your quotation.

For minors traveling without one or both parents, additional travel-clearance or consent requirements may apply.

Can the itinerary or hotel change after I book?

Travel arrangements sometimes need to change because of airline schedules, weather, local conditions, supplier availability or other operational circumstances.

Where a change is necessary, we will aim to preserve the overall standard and intent of the journey and will communicate material changes to you.

Pricing, booking & payments

What the price covers, how you pay, and when your trip is actually confirmed.

What does the package price cover?

Each package states what is included, such as accommodation, tours, transfers and listed meals.

Flights, baggage, travel tax, terminal charges, visa costs and other items are identified as included or excluded as applicable. Your final quotation provides the specific breakdown for your trip before you proceed.

How does payment work?

Your quotation will show the required deposit, installment schedule and final balance date.

For trips booked well in advance, payments can normally be made in installments, with the final balance generally due one month before departure. Trips booked close to departure may require full payment upon booking.

We currently accept cash and bank transfer. Your invoice and payment instructions will show the exact amount and due dates.

When is my trip confirmed?

Sending an inquiry or receiving a quotation does not confirm a trip.

Once you agree to proceed, we create the appropriate booking arrangements and request the required deposit. Your trip becomes confirmed once the required deposit has been received and recorded by Worldmaster.

Can the quoted price change?

Before your required deposit is paid, airfare, accommodation, supplier rates, taxes and foreign-exchange movements may affect the quotation.

Once your booking is confirmed, any adjustments that may still apply will be governed by your quotation and booking terms — for example, changes you request or charges outside Worldmaster's control.

What if I need to cancel or change my booking?

Deposits are generally non-refundable once the booking is confirmed. Other cancellation and change conditions depend on the arrangements made for your trip and the policies of the airlines, hotels and other suppliers involved.

Changes to dates, traveler names or other arrangements may also be subject to availability and supplier charges.

Contact us as early as possible if your plans change. The exact terms that apply to your booking will be stated in your quotation and booking conditions.

Passports, visas & insurance

Entry requirements, travel documents, and cover for the journey.

Do you assist with visas?

Yes. Visa assistance is available as a standalone service and as part of trips where visa support is required.

Depending on the destination, we can assist with the application process, forms, document preparation and checking, appointments, submission requirements and related coordination.

The visa-assistance fee quoted by Worldmaster includes the applicable embassy or visa-centre fee unless we specifically state otherwise.

Visa approval is never guaranteed. Final decisions are made solely by the relevant embassy, consulate or immigration authority.

What happens if my visa is refused?

We generally encourage visa processing before substantial package payments are committed where the itinerary allows this.

If a visa is refused, contact us immediately. The options available — including whether amounts can be retained as travel funds or applied toward another journey — depend on what has already been paid or committed to suppliers.

Visa refusal does not automatically make all travel arrangements refundable.

How long should my passport be valid?

Six months of remaining passport validity is a common requirement for international travel, but it is not a universal rule. Requirements vary by destination and nationality and may be measured from your arrival, departure or another specified date.

Some destinations also require blank passport pages, and a damaged passport may be refused even if it has not expired.

Check your passport early. We will help identify the requirements relevant to your journey, but each traveler remains responsible for traveling with valid documentation.

Is travel insurance included?

Travel insurance is not included unless it is specifically listed in your package or quotation.

We recommend suitable travel insurance for international travel and can arrange coverage as part of your booking. Some destinations or activities may require particular insurance coverage, and we will flag this where relevant.

Planning & support

Private journeys, standalone arrangements, special requirements, and help while you travel.

Do you arrange private groups and custom trips?

Yes. Private and custom travel is one of Worldmaster's main services.

You can start with one of our existing journeys and adapt it to your group, or begin with a destination, dates, budget and ideas and let us build the itinerary around you.

There is no general minimum group size for a private trip.

Can you arrange flights, hotels or corporate travel separately?

Yes. We can arrange standalone flights and accommodation as well as corporate travel requirements.

Send us your route, dates or requirements and we can prepare the appropriate quotation.

Can you accommodate dietary, mobility or other special requirements?

Tell us about any dietary requirements, mobility needs or other important requests as early as possible.

We will coordinate with hotels, airlines and other suppliers where we can, but some requests remain subject to supplier capability and cannot always be guaranteed.

For an itinerary involving unusual physical requirements, we can also help determine whether the trip is suitable before you book.

What support is available while I am traveling?

For urgent matters during your trip, Worldmaster provides an on-call contact that can be reached 24/7.

If a flight is disrupted, a transfer is missed, a hotel issue arises or another urgent problem affects your arrangements, contact us and we will assist with the situation and coordinate with the relevant suppliers where possible.

The resolution available will depend on the circumstances, supplier rules and availability.

What happens after I send an inquiry?

You will receive an inquiry reference so your request can be traced and picked up again easily. Sending an inquiry does not reserve or confirm a trip.

Our team will contact you to discuss your requirements and prepare the appropriate itinerary, arrangements or quotation.

You do not need an account before inquiring. After a valid inquiry, we may send you a secure link to claim your Worldmaster account, where you can follow the inquiry and, if you proceed, manage your booking.

Once you agree to move forward, the trip can become a provisional booking and the required deposit will be requested. Your trip becomes confirmed once the deposit has been received and recorded.
