Schengen (Europe) visa requirements for Philippine passport holders
What travelers need for Schengen (Europe): the document checklist, when to start, and how fees are handled — followed by the questions travelers ask most.
How this page stays honest: visa programs change, so every allowance and rule here is one we re-verify with you at booking — before you pay for anything. Last reviewed September 16, 2026.
What to prepare
- A Schengen visa, filed at the consulate of the country where you'll spend the most time — we map your itinerary to the right consulate before anything else.
- Where to file depends on the country: VFS for Germany, Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands; TLScontact for France; BLS for Spain.
- You appear once to submit and give fingerprints; they are reused for just under five years (59 months) once captured. Children under 12 are exempt.
- We prepare your complete file and book the appointment.
When to start
The law says 15 days; appointments are the real bottleneck, so budget a month or more. You can file up to six months early — for group waves we lock slots as soon as the calendar opens.
What it costs

Visa FAQ
Visa questions for Schengen (Europe)
Do I need a visa for Europe?
Yes — a Schengen visa, filed at the consulate of the country where you'll spend the most time. We map your itinerary to the right consulate before anything else.
Where do we file?
Depends on the country: VFS for Germany, Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands; TLScontact for France; BLS for Spain. We prepare your complete file and book the appointment; you appear once to submit and give fingerprints.
How long does it take?
The law says 15 days; appointments are the real bottleneck, so budget a month or more. You can file up to six months early — for group waves we lock slots as soon as the calendar opens.
Do I give fingerprints every time?
No — they are reused for just under five years (59 months) once captured. Children under 12 are exempt.
Can I get a multiple-entry visa?
Yes, and travel history builds it: with lawfully used visas behind you, the rules step you up to one-year, then two-year, then five-year multiple-entry. Granting is always at the consulate's discretion; we build your file to deserve the longer validity.
What about EES and ETIAS I keep reading about?
EES is live: your passport is scanned at EU borders — no action from you. ETIAS is not operating and, importantly, does not apply to Philippine passports at all: you need the visa regardless.
Are these visa requirements for Philippine passport holders?
Yes. Everything on this page applies to Philippine passport holders. Traveling on a different passport? Message us and we'll confirm exactly what applies to you.
Do you handle the visa for me?
It depends on the destination — each destination lists who files what. Either way our team walks every traveler through it, and we confirm the current visa fees and requirements with you at booking, when they're live rather than quoted from an old page.
How long should my passport be valid?
At least six months beyond your return date, with at least two blank pages. That is the safe standard for Filipino travelers on every destination we sell, even where the destination itself asks for less.
What does immigration ask for at arrival?
Your return ticket (covered by the package airfare) and your hotel confirmation (covered by our bookings). Some destinations add a digital arrival card or proof of funds — the per-destination sections cover each one.
