Australia visa requirements for Philippine passport holders

What travelers need for Australia: the document checklist, when to start, and how fees are handled — followed by the questions travelers ask most.

How this page stays honest: visa programs change, so every allowance and rule here is one we re-verify with you at booking — before you pay for anything. Last reviewed September 16, 2026.

What to prepare

  • The Visitor visa (subclass 600), Tourist stream, lodged online — the ETA and eVisitor lists don't include the Philippines.
  • You lodge online (we prepare your complete file first), then every applicant attends a quick biometrics appointment within 14 days — Manila, Cebu, or Davao. We book it and walk you through both steps.
  • Stays of six months or more mean a medical and chest x-ray at an accredited clinic — the Philippines is on Australia's higher-TB-risk list, so we check your plans against the threshold at booking.

When to start

Home Affairs' own advice: apply at least three months before travel. The published median looks faster, but the 600's times genuinely vary — three months is the window we plan around.

Visa FAQ

Visa questions for Australia

Do I need a visa for Australia?

Yes — the Visitor visa (subclass 600), Tourist stream, lodged online.

Australia has those quick electronic visas, right?

Not for Philippine passports. The ETA and eVisitor lists don't include the Philippines — the 600 it is.

Who files it?

You lodge online (we prepare your complete file first), then every applicant attends a quick biometrics appointment within 14 days — Manila, Cebu, or Davao. We book it and walk you through both steps.

How long does it take?

Home Affairs' own advice: apply at least three months before travel. The published median looks faster, but the 600's times genuinely vary — three months is the window we plan around.

How long can I stay?

Whatever your grant letter says — typically around three months, longer in some cases, and it can be single or multiple entry.

Health checks?

For stays under six months, usually none. Six months or more means a medical and chest x-ray at an accredited clinic — the Philippines is on Australia's higher-TB-risk list, so we check your plans against the threshold at booking.

Are these visa requirements for Philippine passport holders?

Yes. Everything on this page applies to Philippine passport holders. Traveling on a different passport? Message us and we'll confirm exactly what applies to you.

Do you handle the visa for me?

It depends on the destination — each destination lists who files what. Either way our team walks every traveler through it, and we confirm the current visa fees and requirements with you at booking, when they're live rather than quoted from an old page.

How long should my passport be valid?

At least six months beyond your return date, with at least two blank pages. That is the safe standard for Filipino travelers on every destination we sell, even where the destination itself asks for less.

What does immigration ask for at arrival?

Your return ticket (covered by the package airfare) and your hotel confirmation (covered by our bookings). Some destinations add a digital arrival card or proof of funds — the per-destination sections cover each one.
